He can also treat you badly along the way and get away with it. The fact that Dr. Bank's crimes and unethical behavior may not rise to the level of murder makes him no more of a sympathetic figure at the end. The other psychiatrist engaged in conspiracy to commit murder. This is also generally regarded as worse than any of the behavior of Dr. Banks.
